Opera North invites you to its much-anticipated Opera in the Garden 2025. Nestled within the breathtaking grounds of Tahamoana Angora Goat Farm, Waipu Cove, this extraordinary afternoon event promises an unforgettable experience for all ages.
Guided by our exceptional music team Emma Couper, Roger McClean and Maria Satterfield, the Opera North Chorus promises a resplendent sound that is sure to captivate and inspire. Joining us as our distinguished guest artist is the remarkable Deborah Wai Kapohe, whose performance is set to be a highlight of the day.
Immerse yourself in a spectacular programme that spans the grandeur of opera, the charm of musical theatre, and the excitement of contemporary music. Each performance promises to be a feast for the senses, offering a perfect blend of classic and modern delights.
Guests can bring their own picnics, blankets, and chairs. There’s plenty of room for kids to roam while music fills this one-of-a-kind venue. Coffee and Food carts on-site also.

Opera North has developed a dazzling array of songs that cross multiple genres, from Torch songs, musical theatre, opera and even a bit of pop music you'll recognise straight away! Anticipate breathtaking chorus work, delightful surprises, and a luscious program that will leave you spellbound. This is a show that embraces all Opera North has come to represent, and leaps into the new era of choral pop. We can't wait to share it with you!
Partnering with Hunters of Marlborough, their signature Mirumiru "Bubbles" NV Brut will be available to purchase, and all tickets include a plate of delectable bites for the table you are seated at.
